Another packed week across Pilgrim Nation brought outstanding performances, tournament success, big wins, and strong early-season momentum. Here is everything that happened across Cheer, Basketball, Wrestling, Swimming & Diving, and Gymnastics. ⸻ 📣 Cheer Lady Pilgrims Punch Ticket to Nationals The Plymouth Cheer Team delivered a historic performance, placing 3rd and officially earning a trip to the UCA National High School Cheerleading Championships. The team will compete at ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Florida, from January 29 – February 1. A tremendous milestone for the program—congratulations, ladies! ⸻ 🏀 Girls Basketball Varsity: Plymouth 51, Logansport 13 The Lady Pilgrims closed their pre-Thanksgiving slate with a dominant 51–13 win inside Logansport’s historic Berry Bowl. Standout Performers: • Chloe Horton: 25 pts, 7 made threes, 7 reb, 6 stl • Lydia Wray: 5 pts, 7 ast, 4 reb, 6 stl • Olivia Warner: 6 pts, 3 ast, 4 reb • Peyton Ellinger: strong interior defense Plymouth’s full-court pressure held Logansport to just 6 first-half points and 13 for the entire game. Efficient perimeter shooting (45% from three) and tempo in transition powered the Pilgrims from start to finish. ⸻ Lady Pilgrims vs. Tippecanoe Valley Plymouth battled hard at home Wednesday but fell to a high-powered Tippecanoe Valley team. JV Final: Valley 32, Plymouth 19 Freshman Hanley Feldman continued her breakout season with 7 pts, 4 reb, 3 blk, as the JV moves to 6–1. Varsity Final: Valley 69, Plymouth 35 • Lydia Wray: 13 pts, 5 reb, 4 stl • Chloe Horton: 9 pts, 4 reb The Pilgrims now look to regroup as they return to NLC action vs. Goshen on Saturday. ⸻ 🤼♂️ Wrestling JV Wrestling — Strong Results at West Noble Invitational Several Plymouth wrestlers placed high in their brackets: • Vanden DeVault: 1st (131–134) • Colin Jones: 2nd (134.7–136) • Caleb Hensley: 1st (134–138.7) ⸻ Girls Wrestling — 3rd of 29 Teams at Rochester Invitational The Lady Rockies delivered a tremendous team performance, finishing 3rd out of 29—behind only Rochester and Wawasee.
