Baseball - Pilgrims Get Senior Night Win

Plymouth Varsity Pilgrims snatched the lead late in the game in a 15-5 victory over Knox on Monday. The game was tied at five with Plymouth Varsity Pilgrims batting in the bottom of the fifth when Trey Delp's sac fly scored one run for Plymouth Varsity Pilgrims. Plymouth Varsity Pilgrims earned the victory despite allowing Knox to score three runs in the third inning. Knox's big inning was driven by a walk by Nolan Short and a single by Logan Taylor. Plymouth Varsity Pilgrims opened up scoring in the first inning. Kaden Milliser's sac fly scored one run for Plymouth Varsity Pilgrims. Plymouth Varsity Pilgrims tallied six runs in the sixth inning. Koan Deon, Trey Hall, Cam Shively, and Nick Manzuk each drove in runs during the inning. Preston Wolfe was credited with the victory for Plymouth Varsity Pilgrims. The righthander allowed two hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out five and walking zero. Matt Manzuk threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Raymond Boyd took the loss for Knox. The pitcher surrendered nine runs on eight hits over four and a third innings, striking out three. Noble Bockman started the game for Plymouth Varsity Pilgrims. The righty went three innings, allowing five runs on five hits and striking out two Plymouth Varsity Pilgrims hit one home run on the day. Manzuk went for the long ball in the fifth inning. Plymouth Varsity Pilgrims collected nine hits on the day. Manzuk and Boston Berkeypile each collected multiple hits for Plymouth Varsity Pilgrims. Berkeypile and Manzuk all had two hits to lead Plymouth Varsity Pilgrims. Peter Wallsmith led Knox with two hits in three at bats.
