JV Baseball - Pilgrims Lose to Warsaw

Plymouth Junior Varsity Pilgrims had a tough time generating runs on Monday, dropping their game with Warsaw Tigers JV 14-2. Plymouth Junior Varsity Pilgrims opened up scoring in the first inning. An error scored two runs for Plymouth Junior Varsity Pilgrims. Warsaw Tigers JV evened things up at two in the top of the second inning when Brock Bowser singled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs. Warsaw Tigers JV pulled away for good with six runs in the third inning. In the third Brandt Martin drew a walk, scoring one run, Gavin Shultz's sac fly scored one run for Warsaw Tigers JV, Bowser singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, Zac Miller drew a walk, scoring one run, Logan Kim singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run, and Addison Coy singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run. Shultz got the win for Warsaw Tigers JV. Shultz surrendered two runs on three hits over four innings, striking out six. Kim threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Aiden Landis toed the rubber for Plymouth Junior Varsity Pilgrims. The pitcher lasted three innings, allowing five hits and eight runs while striking out two. Grady Metsker threw two innings out of the bullpen. Metsker went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Plymouth Junior Varsity Pilgrims in hits. Warsaw Tigers JV tallied six hits in the game. Bowser and Coy each racked up multiple hits for Warsaw Tigers JV. Miller led Warsaw Tigers JV with three stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with nine stolen bases.
