JV Baseball - Pilgrims Lose to Northridge

Plymouth Junior Varsity Pilgrims watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in an 11-2 loss to Northridge Raiders JV on Monday. Northridge Raiders JV took the lead on a single in the second inning. The Plymouth Junior Varsity Pilgrims struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Northridge Raiders JV, giving up 11 runs. In the second inning, Northridge Raiders JV got their offense started. Brayden Hoag drove in one when Hoag singled. Northridge Raiders JV scored four runs in the seventh inning. Northridge Raiders JV's big inning was driven by a walk by Brody Wood, a groundout by Kam Radeker, by Bryson Mattix, and a double by Braxton Nagy. Mason Dewulf led the Northridge Raiders JV to victory on the pitcher's mound. The lefty lasted seven innings, allowing seven hits and two runs while striking out 12 and walking zero. Nick Manzuk was on the pitcher's mound for Plymouth Junior Varsity Pilgrims. Manzuk lasted six innings, allowing 13 hits and seven runs while striking out one and walking one. Grady Metsker threw one inning in relief. Plymouth Junior Varsity Pilgrims totaled seven hits in the game. Tre Jordan and Manzuk each had multiple hits for Plymouth Junior Varsity Pilgrims. Manzuk and Jordan all had two hits to lead Plymouth Junior Varsity Pilgrims. Northridge Raiders JV tallied 15 hits in the game. Luke Mann, Nagy, Radeker, and Brecken Gawthrop all managed multiple hits for Northridge Raiders JV.
