JV Baseball - Pilgrims Lose Heartbreaker To Berries

Plymouth Junior Varsity Pilgrims stayed in it until the end, but Logansport pulled away late in an 8-7 victory on Thursday. The game was tied at seven with Logansport batting in the bottom of the sixth when #22 singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run. Plymouth Junior Varsity Pilgrims lost despite out-hitting Logansport eight to five. Plymouth Junior Varsity Pilgrims got on the board in the first inning. Parker Wolfe drove in one when Wolfe singled. #24 earned the victory on the pitcher's mound for Logansport. The hurler lasted seven innings, allowing eight hits and seven runs while striking out five. Cooper Grolich was on the mound for Plymouth Junior Varsity Pilgrims. The pitcher allowed three hits and five runs over four innings, striking out one. Owen Walleske and Wolfe entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one inning and one inning respectively. Plymouth Junior Varsity Pilgrims racked up eight hits in the game. Malachi Sieh and Wolfe all managed multiple hits for Plymouth Junior Varsity Pilgrims. Wolfe and Sieh each managed three hits to lead Plymouth Junior Varsity Pilgrims. #5 led Logansport with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with nine stolen bases.
