Plymouth Junior Varsity Pilgrims lost the lead late in a 12-2 defeat to Warsaw Tigers JV on Friday. The game was tied at two with Warsaw Tigers JV batting in the bottom of the fourth when Zac Miller homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring three runs. The Plymouth Junior Varsity Pilgrims struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Warsaw Tigers JV, giving up 12 runs. Warsaw Tigers JV got things started in the first inning when an error scored one run for Warsaw Tigers JV. Warsaw Tigers JV pulled away for good with three runs in the fourth inning. Warsaw Tigers JV scored four runs in the fifth inning. Warsaw Tigers JV scored its runs on a home run by Gavin Shultz. Brock Bowser led things off on the pitcher's mound for Warsaw Tigers JV. The righthander surrendered zero runs on one hit over three innings, striking out five and walking zero. Malachi Sieh was on the hill for Plymouth Junior Varsity Pilgrims. The righty allowed three hits and five runs over four innings, striking out six. Grady Metsker and Parker Wolfe entered the game as relief, throwing one inning and one-third of an inning respectively. Warsaw Tigers JV tallied two home runs on the day. Shultz had a long ball in the fifth inning. Miller had a dinger in the fourth inning. Sieh went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Plymouth Junior Varsity Pilgrims in hits. Plymouth Junior Varsity Pilgrims tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Sieh led the way with two. Warsaw Tigers JV racked up eight hits in the game. Miller and Oliver Nisen all managed multiple hits for Warsaw Tigers JV. Miller led Warsaw Tigers JV with three hits in three at bats. Bowser led Warsaw Tigers JV with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with six stolen bases.
