Senior Meredith Borden paced the Pilgrims with a 46, followed by Taylor Hauptmann (48), Sydney Manuwal (50), Hanley Feldman (52), and Katy Longanecker (68). NorthWood’s S. Richmond earned medalist honors with a 36. Coach Troyer was encouraged by the result, saying: “Really proud of the results tonight. Tonight was our best 9-hole score of the year and I know the girls still see where we can improve. We had solid performances from our top 4 golfers tonight leading to our split NLC result to start off conference play!” ⸻ Boys Soccer Dominates LaPorte Varsity: Plymouth 6, LaPorte 0 The Varsity Pilgrims turned in their best performance of the young season, blanking LaPorte 6-0 to improve to 3-0-1 overall. Dominick Zelaya stole the show with a hat trick, while Isaak Hutchinson, Chris Rosas, and Eddy Mencias each added goals. Parker Hansen, Zeke Estrada, and Hector Rebollo contributed assists. Coach Jimenez praised the full-team effort: “Great win tonight and an awesome performance by the whole team. From defense to midfield to forwards we played our best game yet. Shoutout to Dom Zelaya for the hat trick, as well as our two freshmen Zeke Estrada and Chris Rosas for linking up and creating the third goal. Super happy with this performance and a great step as we head to our first NLC conference game against Warsaw on Thursday!” Junior Varsity: Plymouth 9, LaPorte 2 The JV squad moved to 2-1-1 overall with a commanding 9-2 victory. After a close 21-25 loss in the second, Plymouth couldn’t regain momentum in the decisive third, falling 3-15. • Match 2: Penn 2, Plymouth 0 – Against perennial power Penn, the Pilgrims played their most competitive volleyball yet, battling point-for-point before dropping tight sets 18-25 and 23-25. Despite the 0-2 night, Plymouth showed significant growth, particularly in energy, communication, and back-row play.
