The Pilgrims and Trojans split the first two completed matches, with Bella Kain falling in straight sets at 1S while Annie Plothow won her match in straight sets at 2S. The 1D team of Taylor Delp-Ellie Jones battled a nice 1D team from Chesterton, winning the final four games of the third set to finish 6-3 and complete the three-set win. The 2D team of Morgan Langfeldt-Cassidy Riddle then fell in three sets. That left 3S Tynley Gantz as the last match to finish. Tynley lost her first set 6-1, but stayed tough mentally to battle back and take the second set 7-5. Tynley started out strong in the final set, taking a 5-0 lead before finishing off the third set 6-1 to secure the 3-2 Pilgrims win. The Plymouth JV lost to Chesterton 7-6. Singles winners for the Pilgrims were Tallie Hundt (8-7, 12-10 in a tiebreaker!) and Izzie Wray. Doubles winners for the Pilgrims were Lena Houin-Jo Houin, Emma Rozycki-Magaly Rodriguez, Maddie Harness-Toni Howard, and Mackenzie Himes-Jayden Trump Haskins. Plymouth's Varsity/JV will host Culver Academy Friday April 14 for a 5:15PM match start in Centennial Park. Go Big Red! #PTforLIFE
