On a sun-drenched Tuesday at Pretty Lake Golf Club, the Plymouth Lady Pilgrims varsity golf team hosted the annual Plymouth Invitational, bringing together nine competitive programs from around northern Indiana. Facing a tough field on their home course, the Lady Pilgrims carded a team score of 414, placing 4th out of 9 teams. Warsaw #1 claimed the team title with a stellar 337, followed by LaPorte (385) and Warsaw #2 (389). Despite a strong effort, Plymouth finished just outside the top three but ahead of Tippecanoe Valley, Chesterton, Glenn, Concord, and Bremen. ⸻ Top Individual Performers – Plymouth • Taylor Hauptmann led the Lady Pilgrims once again, shooting a consistent 91, placing 8th overall among all golfers. • Meredith Borden posted a 103, showing strong promise off the tee and around the greens. • Katy Longanecker added a 108, while Hanley Feldman turned in a 112. • Rounding out the squad was Sydney Manuwal (143), contributing valuable experience on a demanding layout. ⸻ Coach’s Perspective: “Our girls are continuing to grow with every round,” said Head Coach Troyer. “We had stretches today that showed real potential. We just need to work on eliminating those big numbers, especially around the greens. This is our home course, and the more we compete here, the more confident they’ll become. I’m proud of the effort and the progress we’re making.” ⸻ Team Results – Plymouth Invitational at Pretty Lake GC Top 5 Teams: 1. Warsaw #1 – 337 2. LaPorte – 385 3. Warsaw #2 – 389 4.
