Tuesday's game against Rochester was a heartbreaker for Plymouth Junior Varsity Pilgrims, as they lost the lead late in a 13-8 defeat. The game was tied at eight with Rochester batting in the top of the ninth when #10 doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring three runs. Despite the loss, Plymouth Junior Varsity Pilgrims did collect eight hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Rochester had 15 hits on the way to victory. Rochester captured the lead in the second inning. #11 hit into a fielder's choice, scoring one run. In the bottom of the seventh inning, Plymouth Junior Varsity Pilgrims tied things up at eight when Michael Gibbons singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run. Plymouth Junior Varsity Pilgrims put up four runs in the seventh inning. The big inning was thanks to singles by Grady Metsker and Gibbons, a triple by Parker Wolfe, and an error on a ball put in play by Austin Price. #21 earned the win for Rochester. undefined went four innings, allowing five runs on four hits and striking out eight. #25 threw two-thirds of an inning in relief out of the bullpen. Nick Manzuk took the loss for Plymouth Junior Varsity Pilgrims. Manzuk lasted two innings, allowing six hits and five runs while striking out three and walking one. Aiden Landis started the game for Plymouth Junior Varsity Pilgrims. The righthander surrendered six runs on seven hits over three innings, striking out one #10 started the game for Rochester. The fireballer surrendered three runs on three hits over three and two-thirds innings, striking out five Plymouth Junior Varsity Pilgrims collected eight hits on the day. Wolfe and Price each had multiple hits for Plymouth Junior Varsity Pilgrims. Price and Wolfe each collected two hits to lead Plymouth Junior Varsity Pilgrims.
