The Plymouth boys’ golf program enjoyed a successful weekend on the course, with both the JV and varsity squads delivering impressive team finishes at two competitive invitationals. The JV Pilgrims traveled to Round Barn Golf Club in Rochester on Saturday, battling through the elements to secure a 2nd-place team finish at the Rochester JV Invite. Despite dealing with an hour of steady rain to start the round, the team found its rhythm mid-round and finished strong with a team score of 351, just behind Culver Academies’ 337. Chase Bowling led the way with an outstanding round of 80, earning 2nd place individually after narrowly falling in a playoff for medalist honors. Ale Pons turned in a steady performance with an 85, good enough to tie for 4th place. Logan Lindstrom carded a 91 (T-13th), Brody Lebo added a 95 (30th), and Davis Jones rounded out the scoring with a 97 (33rd), providing valuable contributions to the team’s podium finish. Meanwhile, the Varsity Pilgrims headed to the Twin Lakes Invite, where they battled a tough field to finish 4th overall with a team score of 329. Sophomore O’Malley Holm paced Plymouth with a smooth 79, showing composure on a challenging layout. Dan Nguyen followed closely with an 81, while Ben Nguyen turned in a consistent 82. Caleb Harland and Bryce Busse both recorded 87s, helping to secure the team’s strong showing.
