The Plymouth Lady Pilgrims softball team is on a roll—and they’re making sure everyone knows it. On Tuesday night, the team hit the road and delivered a wild, come-from-behind 15-14 victory over Knox in a thriller that had everything from clutch hits to gritty resilience. Then, less than 24 hours later, the bats stayed scorching hot as the Pilgrims returned home to run-rule Triton, 18-2, in a dominant five-inning performance. Tuesday’s showdown at Knox was an all-out offensive slugfest, and the Lady Pilgrims answered the bell. Liz Derifield was a force at the plate, going 4-for-5 to spark multiple rallies. Gracie Kruyer came through with timely hitting, going 2-for-4 and driving in three runs in a game that saw Plymouth battle pitch-for-pitch to secure the one-run win. But if Tuesday’s win was a test of heart, Wednesday’s matchup with Triton was a statement of control. Aubrey Ferguson had a night to remember, doing it all in the circle and at the plate. She went a perfect 3-for-3 with 3 RBIs and tossed a gem—five innings, five strikeouts, and just two hits allowed. Gracie Patrick stayed steady, going 2-for-2 with 2 RBIs, while Haylee Busse brought the thunder with a triple and two RBIs, continuing to be a key contributor in the heart of the order. With these back-to-back wins, the Lady Pilgrims are building momentum and chemistry as they head deeper into the season. Their combination of timely hitting, consistent pitching, and energy in the dugout is setting the tone for a team with big goals. Next up, the Pilgrims are back under the lights on Friday night as they host Taylor at 5:30 PM in Centennial Park. With their bats blazing and confidence growing, the Lady Pilgrims look ready to keep the wins coming.
