The Pilgrims returned to action Thursday night and started the new year with excitement. The Pilgrims had a shot go around and out at the buzzer of regulation and played extra basketball heading into overtime. In overtime both teams battled and had chances before Mishawaka connected on a shot with two seconds remaining. The Pilgrims had a bounce when their full court pass was deflected by a Caveman defender allowing for them to have a baseline inbounds opportunity with a second remaining. On the ensuing inbounds Plymoiuth had a shot that hit back iron and fell off resulting in a 32 - 30 loss to Mishawaka. Plymouth (2-6; NLC 1-4) will host South Bend Washington on Saturday with gametime set for 10:00 AM.
