Our Plymouth Rockies traveled to Lakeville this past evening for single dual action with the Laville Lancers. Plymouth Caleb Phillips, kicked the night off with the lone Junior Varsity match coming away with a pin. The varsity dual kicked off at 285lb where #5 ranked Junior Anthony Popi got straight to work with a stick to give Plymouth a 6-0 lead. Junior Alonzo Chantea, snatched another quick 6 for the Rockies with a 1st period pin. At 113lbs freshman Jayden Eskew, made her wrestling debut. Although coming up short in the 3rd period by fall to Laville’s Alyvia Wickizer, she made a statement that she is here to compete! Rockie sophomore Braxton White picked up a forfeit at 120lbs. Freshman Coen Kraemer and Sophomore Chris Firebaugh, pick up pins at 126lbs, and 132lbs. Plymouth Junior Seth Wright picks up the major decision win at 138 pounds followed by a stick at 145 by Wesley Smith increasing Plymouths lead to 40-6 The Lancers fired back at 152 lbs with a pin. Plymouth picked up forfeits at 160 and 170bs. LaVille picked up a big Dec win at 182lbs followed by 2 pins in a row at 195 and 220lbs. Final score Plymouth 52 Laville 27. The Rockies will travel to West Noble this weekend for a super dual.
