Swimming Competes And Wins Diving At Wawasee Invitational

Plymouth ventured over to Syracuse on Saturday facing many tough opponents at the annual Wawasee Swimming Invitational. The Pilgrims saw several best times from their athletes and improved their team scores from last year’s results. Plymouth Girls finished 3rd improving 1 spot from last year and scoring 13 additional points. 353 points total. The Plymouth boys finished in 5th also improving 1 spot from last year while also scoring 13 more points. 253 points total Congratulations to the Plymouth Divers for earning championship points in the girls and boys! Sean Janda was the boys champion with a diving score of 195.85 points. Alissa Kessler won for the girls with a score of 163.05. Thea Shepherd finished 4th in Diving as well improving her score by 7.20 points. Fitz Holm was the top point scorer for Plymouth with 30 points by finishing 3rd in the 100 fly and 5th in the 100 back. Sean Janda finished with 29 points from the championship in diving and a 9th place finish in the 50 free. Joseph Stauffer rounded out the top points scored for the boys, ending with 5th in the breaststroke, 8th in the 200 IM and 25 points scored. For the girls, Vivial Wheeler scored 29 points placing 5th in the 200IM and 4th in the 100 breaststroke. Lucy Keirn was right behind her with 28 points from a 4th place finish in the 100 back and 6th in the 100 fly. The relay team finishes were as follows: Girls Medley - A = 3rd, B = 10th 200 - A = 7th, B = 9th 400 - A = 4th, B = 7th Boys Medley - A = 5th, B = 11th 200 - A = 5th, B = 9th 400 - A = 7th, B = 10th
