The Lady Pilgrims took on the #1 3A Mishawaka Knights Tuesday night at basketball action and fought hard but just ran out of gas in the second half coming away with a 71-43 loss. The Lady Pilgrims came out strong only trailing 10-12 after the 1st quarter and had all the momentum. Marian would a 10 point lead into halftime after some costly turnovers by the Lady Pilgrims taking a 31-21 lead into the second half. The Knights would take control of the game in the 3rd with scoring 35 points and forcing the Lady Pilgrims to speed up and causing turnovers. The Lady Pilgrims would end the game outscoring the Knights 14-5 in the final quarter. The Pilgrims were lead in scoring by Taylor Delp with 12 points, Sophie Miller added 6 points and Claire McDonald with 6 points. Delp lead the team in rebounds as well with 8, Lena Jones had 5 rebounds and Eva Sheedy had 4 rebounds. The Lady Pilgrims are now 0-2 on the season and host Michigan City on Saturday, November 14th following the JV game.
