The Lady Rockies took to the October weather and faced a tough NLC opponent in the Goshen to open their play in the sectional. From the kickoff Goshen was in attack mode but some great stops by senior goalie Rosalyn Holler kept the Rockies in the game. The Lady Rockies after weathering the storm early found some gaps in the Redhawk defense and went on attack mode themselves creating a great offensive chance for a corner kick. Mia Treber sent a perfect cross to Lauren Manges and was stopped by the goalie but then caused a handball from the Redhawk defense allowing the Lady Rockies a penalty kick. Manges would be selected for the kick and found the back of the net at the 18th minute of the first half. The Redhawks would answer in the 24th minute helping the Redhawks take the momentum into halftime. To start the second half the Rockies would have chances but the Redhawks defense was just too much. The Redhawks offensive attack would ware on the Rockies and in the 59th minute a handball just outside the box would cause a shot and the Redhawks would but the ball in the goal. The Redhawks would get a late score in the 77th minute ending the game in a 3-1 loss for the Lady Rockies. The Lady Rockies finish the season 2-12-2 and want to thank the seniors for all they have done for the program and wish them the best in their next sports.
