The Lady Pilgrims traveled to South Bend Adams on Tuesday night to take part in the opening game of the IHSAA Sectional against favorite South Bend St. Joe Huskies. The Pilgrims would never flinch and at the Huskies on the ropes numerous times but just couldn't get the knock out punch to upset the Huskies losing 6 to 13 with the game being a lot closer then the score indicates. The Lady Pilgrims would start the game getting 3 straight singles and scoring both Haylee Busse and Elsaya Bohm. St. Joe would respond with a run in the bottom of the 2nd but the Lady Pilgrims got 2 more in the top of the 3rd. In the bottom of the 3rd the Lady Pilgrims would commit 4 errors that allowed the Huskies to get 6 runs across to take a 7 to 4 lead. The Lady Pilgrims would get 1 in the 5th but another 6 run for the Huskies in the 6th would just be too much for the Pilgrims. Busse would end her night going 1 for 4 with a run scored, Elsaya Bohm went 1 for 4 with 3 runs scored, Liz Derifield 2 for 2 with 2 walks 2 runs scored and RBI. Rylee Mann and Aubrey Ferguson both went 2 for 4 with 2 RBI, while Kayla Johnson went 1 for 3. The Seniors of Rylee, Elsaya, Kayla, Emma and Eva won 28 Varsity games and helped get the most wins in program history since 2013-14 season. The Lady Pilgrims ended the season with a 14 and 11 record and finished the NLC 8-6.
