The Pilgrims hosted Northridge on Wednesday night and every player honored a teacher that has made an impact on their lives before the game where all teachers threw out the first pitch. For the JV contest the Pilgrims would get on the board early scoring 3 in the second inning to take the early lead. Unfortunately, the defense for the Pilgrims would have some struggles and make some costly errors that would allow Northridge to get 5 runs in the 5th inning and another 4 in the 7th. The Pilgrims would get 5 hits on the night but that just wasn't enough to keep up with the high scoring Raiders. Grady Metsker would go 1 for 3 with an RBI, Brodie Crawford went 1 for 3 with a run scored, Landon Tyler went 1 for 3 with a run scored, Heath Swift went 1 for 3 with an RBI and Zach Atkins went 1 for 2 with an RBI. Dominic Vasquez would get the loss throwing 4.1 innings giving up 4 hits with 2 earned runs and striking out 4. For the Varsity game the Pilgrims struggled to get any offensive rhythm with only getting 3 hits on the night. Trey Delp, Drake Feece, and Kaden Milliser are the only Pilgrims to get a hit. Malachi Sieh started for the Pilgrims getting loss, going 4 innings giving up 7 hits on 7 runs and striking out 2. Aiden Landis got some more work on the mound throwing the final 3 innings giving up 3 hits and 2 earned runs and striking out 2. The Pilgrims will travel to NorthWood to play the game that was rained out on Monday with the Varsity playing first at 5:30 and the JV to follow due to lack of umpires.
