Track - Pilgrims Compete In the NLC Championships

The Pilgrims and Lady Pilgrims competed in the NLC Championships on Wednesday night at Warsaw High School and got great performances all through out the night that some lifetime PR's and a broken school record. For the Pilgrims the boys may have finished 8th but had a great night with some great performances. Freddy Kallenberg got lifetime PR's in both the 1600 running a 4:54.60 and in the 3200 with a 10:56.28. Kylen Ellery had his lifetime PR in the high jump with him getting 5'8". Leo Sickmiller got his PR in shot throwing 38-02.75 while Michael Manges got a PR in the 400 running 56.43. Aidan Faulstich had an amazing run and PR with a time of 2:03.85 in the 800. Coby Walters had his lifetime PR in pole vault getting over 12ft while Ben Lloyd had one of his best track meets in his career. Ben would jump a PR in high jump of 6'2" and was leg one in the 4x100 and ran a 23.04 in the 200. The 200 time puts Ben #10 fastest time in the school's history while his high jump puts him at #8. The 4x100 team of Ben Lloyd, Finn Holm, Jaden Yates, and Carter Bush ran a season best of 44.49 which is the 8th fastest in school history. The 4x400 team of Ethan O'Leary, Aidan Faulstich, Hayden Graham, and Coby Walters ran a season best with a time of 3:39. For the Lady Pilgrims the 4x800 team of Lena Jones, Lola Hissong, Lauren Gurtner, and Sophie Wray got things off in the right foot for Plymouth with getting a 2nd place finish with a time of 10:09.66. Jersey Hunter after falling in the season finally in the 100 hurdles came back stronger than ever and not only became a back to back NLC Champion but beat the school record held by former Lady Pilgrims Holly Nifong with a time of 15:48 while Jersey ran a 15:45. Alana Allen finished 4th in the 100 with a time 12.66 while teammate Vivy Miller got 3rd in the 1600 with a time of 5:22.90. Sophie Wray would be the NLC champion in the 3200 with a time of 11:28.72, this after last weekend she broke the schools 1600 record. In the pole vault Arielle Ferman would finish 4th with a 9-06.00 while she would finish 6th in the long jump with a jump of 15-04.00. For the discus Danica Davids would finish 6th with a throw of 94-09.50 and in the shot put teammate Marissa Kmiatek would finish 5th with a throw of 32-02.25 being 1 of 3 Freshman that made the finals with 4 seniors and 3 juniors. The Lady Pilgrims would finish 6th with 84 points while the Pilgrims did finish 8th with 25 points.
