Zak Kresser-Aiden Landis (P) beat Caden Large-Isaiah Vaca 8-1 Records: Plymouth JV 7-2 Highlights: The Plymouth JV tennis team hosted the Triton Varsity Wednesday night in Centennial Park, with the JV Pilgrims coming out on top by a 6-2 final score. Singles winners for the Pilgrims were James Kruyer, Maclean Miller, Alex Kizer, and Brice Hoover. Doubles winners for the Pilgrims were Zak Kresser-Aiden Landis and Nick Manzuk-Owen Walleske. The highlight of the night was at 1S, where Plymouth Junior James Kruyer battled back from a 5-2 second-set deficit to win 5 straight games and finish with a 6-4, 7-5 win. James battled through 10 to 12 duece points in the final game to get the straight set win. Overall, the JV Pilgrims are having a strong year and currently boast a 7-2 dual match record. It has been rewarding to see our younger players show so much improvement and growth as the season has progressed. The Plymouth Varsity/JV will host the #23 state-ranked Goshen RedHawks Thursday 9/15/22 at 5:30PM for their Senior Night match. PHS Tennis Seniors Matt Manzuk, Jacob Payne, Cam Shively, Carter Snyder, Jake Stone, Easton Strain, Bella Kain, and Morgan Langfeldt will be honored after the match. Go Big Red!
