The Pilgrims traveled down Old Lincoln Highway to play host and rival Warsaw on Friday night. The Tigers were honoring the 1984 State Championship team and the Pilgrims wanted nothing more than to crash the party. The Jv Pilgrims came into the final NLC game just 1-5 but have been in every NLC game besides the hot shooting of Goshen. The Pilgrims struggled to come out of the gate giving up 22 points in the 1st quarter and were just unable to dig themselves out of the hole losing 34 to 67. Kylen Ellery led the Pilgrims with 11 points and 4 rebounds, Parker Bagley had 9 points, Kaden Milliser had 6 points, Hayden Feldman with 3 points and 3 rebounds, and Ben Nguyen had 3 points. The Varsity Pilgrims also had a slow start to the 1st half falling behind in the 1st half 15 to 30 at the break. The Pilgrims would then score 39 points in the second half and turned up their intensity on the defensive end. The Pilgrims would narrow the Tiger lead to just 3 points in the 4th quarter but just couldn't the big shot to fall to get the game even. The Pilgrims were led by Kayden Ellery with 20 points, Coby Walters with 11 points, and Preston Wolfe with 9 points. The Pilgrims finish NLC play going 1-6 and are now 7 and 12 overall. The Pilgrims will travel to Penn on Tuesday, February 13th with the jv starting at 6:15pm.
