Swimming - Pilgrims Get Triple Win To Close Out Regular Season

The Pilgrims closed out the regular season with their last home meet Wednesday night and had a big victory over North Judson, Knox and Kouts to keep the momentum up for the upcoming Sectional. The 3 wins moved the Pilgrims record to 7 and 9 overall. After getting the double victory over South Bend Washington and Jimtown the Pilgrims dropped even more time and scored 122 to 31 over Judson, 105 to 52 over Knox and 126 to 12 over Kouts. Getting 1st place finishes for the Pilgrims were the medley relay of Aiden Landis, Joseph Stauffer, Freddy Kallenberg, and Leo Sickmiller. Ben Beery got 1st place in diving, while Stauffer also finished 1st in the 100 backstroke. Kyle Rumpler got 1st in the 500 free and the 400 free relay of Stauffer, Rumpler, Ray Ye, and Sickmiller also got wins for the Pilgrims. Getting 2nd place finishes were Aiden Landis in the 100 backstroke, Aidan Faulstich in the 100 breaststroke, Freddy Kallenberg in the 100 free, and Matthew Finney in the 200 IM. Getting best times last night was Kyle Rumpler in the 50 free and 500 free, Ben Beery in diving, Freddy Kallenberg in the 100 free & 200 Free, Joseph Stauffer in the 100 fly and Aiden Landis in the 100 free. The Pilgrims will now get ready for the Warsaw Sectional with prelims on Thursday, Feb. 15th starting at 5 pm at Warsaw High School.
