Gymnastics - Lady Pilgrims Get Wins Over Chargers & Warriors

The Lady Pilgrims gymnastics team hosted the West Noble Chargers and Wawasee Warriors on Monday night after having the original date be moved due to weather. This was the last home meet for the Lady Pilgrims has they showed their great depth and talent on this years team. The Pilgrims would win in dominating fashion with a team score of 98.4 while West Noble had 75.9 and Wawasee 22.75. The Lady Pilgrims would outscore their opponents in every rotation and would place at least 5 in each event. In the Vault, Jersey Hunter and Arielle Ferman would tie for 1st place with a score of 9.1 while Joy Everett would place 3rd with a 8.7. Susie Everett would score a 8.4 and tie for 4th place and Jenna Blake finished 6th with a 8.2. For the bars, the Lady Pilgrims would get 5 in the top 6 with Jersey Hunter having a 8.1 good for 1st place. Jenna Blake was 2nd with a 6.85, Lila Hanyzewski was 3rd with a 5.8, Arielle Ferman was 4th scoring a 5.75. Joy Everett would get 5th scoring a 4.55 while sister Susie Everett would miss the top 6 by just .05. For the beam rotation Jersey Hunter again would get 1st place with a 8.8, while Arielle Ferman got a 8.3. In 3rd was Lila Hanyzewski scoring a 7.8 and Jenna Blake got 4th scoring a 7.6. Susie Everett would finish 5th with a 7.4 for her score. For the final rotation in the floor Jersey Hunter would continue her big night by placing 1st with a score of 9.15. Arielle Ferman was 2nd scoring 8.5, Lila Hanyzewski scored a 8.2 for 3rd, Jenna Blake and Joy Everett both tied for 4th scoring 7.95. In the all-around Jersey Hunter was the winner after winning all the individual events with a final score of 35.15. Arielle Ferman was 2nd with a 31.65, Jenna Blake was 3rd with 30.6, Lila Hanyzewski was 4th scoring 29.8, Joy Everett was 5th with 27.4. Susie Everett would round of the all-around finishing 6th with a 26.85 getting the Lady Pilgrims with the clean sweep. The Lady Pilgrims will travel to Warsaw High School on Wednesday, February 7th when they will take on the host Tigers and Logansport starting at 6:30 PM.
