The Pilgrims hosted the Northridge Raiders on Homecoming Friday night and came out with 2 tough but hard fought losses. The Jv Pilgrims would overcome a 15 point deficit to take the lead in the 4th quarter but were unable to hold on and lost 39 to 42 to a very talented Raider JV team. The Pilgrims were led by Parker Bagley with 13 points, Kylen Ellery with 8 points & 7 rebounds, Kaden Milliser with 7 points & 7 rebounds, Hayden Feldman with 5 points and 3 rebounds. Grady Metsker chipped in 4 points while Parker Wolfe had 2 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists. The Jv Pilgrims are now 11 and 4 with all 4 losses coming to NLC teams. The Varsity Pilgrims would also have to fight a big deficit to overcome but fell short 62 to 79. The Pilgrims would struggle out of the gate while Northridge shot very well scoring 24 points in the 1st quarter and holding the Pilgrims to just 11 points. The Pilgrims would find their offensive rhythm in the second half with starting out the 3rd quarter scoring 22 points and getting themselves back in the game. The Raiders though would clap down and hold on to their lead. Leading the Pilgrims were Preston Wolfe scoring 24 points, Kayden Ellery getting 20 points and Coby Walters scoring 11 points. The Pilgrims travel to Goshen on Thursday, February 1st with the JV starting at 6:15 PM.
