The JV Pilgrims continue their winning ways this time defeating the Elkhart Lions 36 to 23 on Tuesday night. The Pilgrims jumped out to a great lead in the first half holding a talented Lions team to just 14 points while scoring 20 themselves. In a hard fought game in the second half the Pilgrims were able to hold to only allow the Lions to score 9 points in the 2nd half and controlled the ball for most of the 4th quarter. The JV Pilgrims were led by Hayden Feldman scoring 13 points and getting 3 rebounds, Parker Bagley with 11 points and 2 rebounds, Kaden Milliser got 6 points and 12 rebounds. Kylen Ellery had 6 points and 10 rebound while Parker Wolfe grabbed 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals. The JV Pilgrims are now 11-3 on the season and will start things off against Northridge on Friday night. The Varsity Pilgrims had a hard fought battle with a lions team that may have shown they haven't won a game yet but played some pretty tough teams and lost some very close games. The Pilgrims would come out swinging in the first quarter taking a 18 to 11 lead into the second quarter. The Lions though would find their offensive rhythm in the second quarter scoring 22 points and at the buzzer getting a tip in to take a 23 to 22 lead going into the locker rooms. In the second half the Lions were able to get control of the game and extend their lead in the fourth quarter to win 66 to 58. The Pilgrims were led by Coby Walters scoring 21 points and Kayden Ellery getting 14 points. The Pilgrims will now host Northridge on Friday, January 26th for Homecoming with JV starting at 6:15PM.
