The Pilgrims traveled to Concordia Lutheran on Saturday to take place in a tough Regional preview in the Carter Classic. The depth and consistency showed for the Lady Pilgrims letting them finish top 10 in a very talented field. The Lady Pilgrims would score 95.15 points finishing 6th behind Sectional opponent East Noble by only 2 points. After a tough conditioning Friday practice with running 2 miles and doing over 480 pushups the Lady Pilgrims are starting to see the fruits of their labor paying off. Jersey Hunter scored a 9.075 on vault finishing 5th, 8.35 on beam finishing 9th and 9th in the all around getting a score of 33.65. Arielle Ferman got 10th in the vault scoring 8.85. Jenna Blake scored a 7,75 on floor, while Jenna had to step in the last minute to do the floor she posted a career best. Arielle posted a season high on the floor and vault. Both Jenna and Arielle had completed new release moves on the bars getting them closer and cloer to all event requirements. Lila Hanyzewski completed a new vault for the first time increasing her start value from a 8.8 to a 9.4 and scored a season high 8.2. The meet is always a great measuring bar to see who at Regional we will see so seeing some girls get podium is a great goal for the future. The Lady Pilgrims will be home on February 5th when they take on West Noble after it got postponed due to the weather.
