Angel Smith competed in the IHSGW State Finals last Friday and came back to Plymouth with a 5th place finish. Angel coming off a back injury from the summer and only got to wrestle a couple matches before the State tournament started. Angel would win her Regional and got 2nd in the Semi-State losing to the girl that won the State Finals. Friday at Kokomo Angel would get pinned in the first two rounds but would win by points in round 3 and won round 4 by the score of 3-1. In the final round Angel would win by pin to close out her day. Angel is the first girl to make the State Finals for Plymouth and just being a Freshman we look to see her be back in future years. Angel will now get ready to compete for a spot in the NLC Championships and the Sectional.
