Swimming - Pilgrims Swim To Double Win Over Mishawaka

The Pilgrims having been off for Christmas break got to shake off the rust and get back to swimming when they traveled to take on the Mishawaka Cavemen. The Pilgrims had a hand full of best times and the boys earned their first victory of the season after putting in so much hard work. The Pilgrims would get 1st place in 10 out of 12 events last night. The boys would win by a score of 111 to 39 while the ladies defeated the Cavemen 123 to 63. The Lady Pilgrims are now getting ready to compete in the NLC Championships with prelims taking place on Thursday, January 11th at Northridge. Getting 1st place in their individual races were for the ladies: Claire Lewandowski in the 200 free, Taylor Schadek in the 50 free and 100 backstroke, Kathryn Morrison in the 100 fly, Kieran Gritton in the 100 free, and Vivian Wheeler in the 500 free & 100 breaststroke. For the boys getting 1st place in their individual races were: Joseph Stauffer in the 200 free and 100 backstroke, Kyle Rumpler in the 200 IM, Leo Sickmiller in the 50 free & 100 free, Ben Berry in diving, and Freddy Kallenberg in the 500 free. All the relays for the Pilgrims took first place.
