The JV Pilgrims got things jumping in The Rock by playing double overtime to defeat a very talented SB Riley team 63 to 52. The Pilgrims had to make a two last second shots to force overtimes with Kylen Ellery hitting a 3 to force the first overtime and Hayden Feldman hitting a contested jumper to force the second. The Pilgrims had multiple double digits scores on the night with Kaden Milliser scoring 15 points and 4 rebounds, Kylen Ellery with 14 points and 2 steals, Ben Nguyen with 11 points and 6 rebounds. Parker Wolfe had 10 points 8 rebounds and 3 steals, Hayden Feldman had 3 points 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Parker Bagley had 7 points and Grady Metsker rounded out scoring with 3 points. The JV is now 6-1 on the season and will be off till the 1st Source Bank Holiday Tournament. The Varsity Pilgrims would take on a senior led Wildcat team that came into the game 6-1. The Pilgrims would keep the game close after the 1st quarter only trailing by 2 points but then would struggle to find the bottom of the net in the 2nd quarter. The Pilgrims would end up losing 44 to 63 but would do some great things in the game that the team can continue to work on. The Pilgrims were led by Coby Walters with 14 points and Dan Nguyen scored 8 points. The Pilgrims are now getting ready for 1st Source Bank Holiday Tournament when they welcome New Prairie, Knox and Lewis Cass.
