The Lady Pilgrims hosted NorthWood on Saturday night and came out with two tough losses to a very talented NorthWood team. The Jv would end up losing 19 to 45 with the JV Pilgrims just not getting any offensive rhythm in the game. The Lady Pilgrims would on be able to find the bucket once in the first half trailing 2 to 27 but would turn things around in the second half getting 17 points in the second half of the game. Leading the Lady Pilgrims was freshman Peyton Ellinger getting 6 points and grabbing 6 rebounds while other freshman Olivia Warner scored 4 points. The loss moved the JV Pilgrims to 5-7 on the season 1-2 in the NLC. The Varsity Lady Pilgrims played a very physical team in NorthWood and would battle from the start to the end but just couldn't keep up the Panther fire power losing 44 to 58. The Lady Pilgrims would be led by Mady Sullivan scoring 11 points and Sophie Miller getting 14 points and 5 rebounds. The loss moves the Lady Pilgrims to 6-6 on the season 1-2 NLC. The Pilgrims are off till Saturday, December 30th when they travel to Huntington North to take place in the Holiday Shootout. The Lady Pilgrims will take on Hamilton Heights for both JV and Varsity. The Varsity will play at 11:45 while the Jv will play at 2 PM.
