The Pilgrims opened up NLC play on the road Friday at defending 3A State Champ NorthWood on Friday night. The JV Pilgrims would suffer their first defeat on the season losing 38 to 44. Hayden Feldman led the Pilgrims with 12 points while Parker Wolfe had 8 points and Ben Nguyen had 7 points. The Pilgrims would struggle from the free throw line going 5 out of 14. The JV Pilgrims would force 16 Panther turnovers and get 5 deflections. The Varsity Pilgrims would get their second loss in a row with losing 46 to 58. The Pilgrims had opportunities early but just couldn't capitalize and that impacted in a big way as they game would progress. The Pilgrims were led by Kadyn Ellery would scored 22 points and got 7 rebounds while Coby Walters chipped in 11 points. The Pilgrims will learn from the game and get ready for South Bend Riley on Tuesday, December 19th. All three levels will play on Tuesday with the Freshman playing in the Auxiliary gym and JV in The Rock both starting at 6:15 Pm. The loss moves the JV record to 5-1 and the Varsity to 3-3.
