Swimming - Pilgrims Compete With Wawasee

The Pilgrims swim and dive team traveled to Wawasee on Thursday night to close out the 2023 season. The Pilgrims sam hard and put out some great swims even though the boys team is dealing with some members being out due to illness. The girls team had numerous personal best times and both teams left everything in the pool but would come out with a 29 to 148 loss for the boys and a 81 to 104 loss for the girls. The Girls 200 Med. Relay of T.Schadek, V.Wheeler, K.Morrison, and K.Gritton got 1st place and in second was M.Langfeldt, R.Hall-Davis, E.Jackson, and L.Kopetski. Kieran Gritton got 1st in the 50 free, Vivian Wheeler got 2nd in the 100 free. Claire Lewandowski got 2nd in the 500 free with Emma Jackson was 3rd with both swimming lifetime best. The Girls 200 Free Relay of T. Schadek, L. Kopetski, M. Langfeldt, and C. Lewandowski got 2nd, Kyler Rumpler got 3rd in the 200 free and in the 500 Free for the boys Aiden Landis swam a lifetime best and got 3rd. Other swimmers that got lifetime best times are : Katelyn Golba, Marisa Langfeldt, Lauren Kopetski, Kathryn Morrison, Vivy Miller, Silvia Wheeler, Matthew Finney, Rusty Antrim, James Kruyer, Kyler Rumpler, Leo Sickmiller ,and Leni Sailer.
