The Varsity Rockies traveled to Merrillville and came back with a championship. The Rockies would go 5-1 on the day, this would be the first time since Coach Smith took over the program that they defeated Merrillville in a dual meet. Scores for the day were: Rockies 51 Harrison 27, Plymouth 33 Hobart 38, Plymouth 55 FW Carroll 21, Plymouth 48 McCutcheon 22, and Plymouth 41 Merrillville 36. Alonzo Chantea went 5-0 and is now 17-0 on the year. Wesley Smith went 5-0 and is also 17-0 on the year as is Caydn Smith who also went 5-0 to be 17-0. Anthony Popi went 5-0 and is now 16-1 on the year and Chris Firebaugh went 4-1 and is now 15-2 on the season. The Varsity Rockies are now 15-2 (2-1 NLC). The Varsity will compete in the Wawasee Invite on Saturday starting at 9 am. The JV Rockies hosted their invite on Saturday and came out with some great performances. Caleb Jones finished 3rd, Vanden DeVault placed 2nd, Nathan Withey placed 3rd, Resse McGee won, Victor Balica placed 1st, Luca Giordano placed 5th, and Aiden Mirand also placed 5th.
