The Lady Pilgrims hosted the John Glenn Falcons on Tuesday night and split between the JV and Varsity. The Jv would fight hard but just couldn't find their rhythm on offense and lost 27 to 46. Taylor Hauptmann lead the Lady Pilgrims with scoring 6 points and getting 4 rebounds. Peyton Ellinger continues to have a solid Freshman year getting 7 rebounds. The JV Pilgrims are now 5-6 overall and 1-1 in NLC play and will host NorthWood on Saturday starting at 6:15 PM. The Varsity Lady Pilgrims got the win on Tuesday night over the Falcons 35 to 22. The Pilgrims used a solid defense forcing Falcon turnovers and getting easy transition baskets because of it. The Lady Pilgrims shared the ball well and all 11 players dressed was able to see action. Leading the way was Sophie Miller scoring 11 points, Tynley Gantz getting 9 points and 6 steals, while Lena Jones had 5 points and 4 rebounds. The Lady Pilgrims would hold John Glenn to single digits in each frame and would use great teamwork to hold a talented team to their lowest point total on the year. The Pilgrims are now 6-5 on the season and 1-1 in the NLC and will host NorthWood after the JV contest on Saturday.
