Swimming - Warsaw Comes Out on Top In Tight NLC Contest

The Pilgrims hosted a very talented Warsaw Tiger team on Tuesday night and the girls came up just two points shy while sickness and depth hurt the boys. The final scores were for the girls Plymouth 92 Warsaw 94 and for the boys Plymouth 36 Warsaw 147. Warsaw diver did break the pool record by scoring 272 points in the 6 dive event. Getting first place for the Pilgrims were T. Schadek, V. Wheeler, K. Morrison, and K. Gritton in the 200 med. relay. In the 200 Free and 100 Fly Vivian Wheeler, in the 100 Back Marisa Langfeldt, 100 breast was Joseph Stauffer, and the in the 400 free relay K. Gritton, K. Morrison, T. Schadek, and V. Wheeler. The Pilgrims had a lot of lifetime best times which is a testament to the hard work that the team is putting in. The following athletes swam lifetime bests: Rowynn Hall-Davis, Ben Berry, Emma Jackson, Katelyn Golba, Vivian Wheeler, Marisa Langfeldt, Claire Lewandowski, Taylor Schadek, Lauren Kopetski, Matthew Finney, Kathryn Morrison, Rusty Antrim, James Kruyer, and Kyle Rumpler. The Pilgrims will finish the 2023 year on the road at Wawasee on Thursday. Diving will start the event off with it starting at 5:30 PM. The Wawasee swim team competes at the middle school located at 9850 IN-13 Syracuse, IN 46567.
