The Pilgrims had the honor last night of being the WHME Game of the Week for the first time since 2018 and welcomed a tough Mishawaka Marian team. The JV Pilgrims started the night off and came out with a tough defensive game plan even though their head coach was sick for the night. Freshman Coach McCrammer filled in for Coach Plothow and came out with a 46 to 39 victory to keep the JV record perfect at 5-0. The Pilgrims used a great team effort and were able to jump out to a strong start and never gave up the lead from the opening tip. Coach McCrammer was very proud of the ball movement and the unselfishness of his team play on the offensive end and that lead to great looks at the basket. Leading the Pilgrims was Hayden Feldman with 10 points and 5 rebounds, Kylen Ellery with 9 points and 3 steals. Parker Bagley scored 9 points and Parker Wolfe scored 7 points and 5 rebounds. The Varsity Pilgrims would have a struggling night losing to the Knights 27 to 65. This was the hardest test so far in this young season for the Pilgrims as the record for the Knights showed 1-3 they have played some pretty good teams this season. Leading for the Pilgrims was Kadyn Ellery with 14 points and 5 rebounds and Coby Walters with 9 points and 5 rebounds. The loss moves the Pilgrims to 3-2 on the season with their first NLC contest on Friday, December 15th when they travel to NorthWood to play in the Pit with jv starting at 6:15 PM.
