The Pilgrims took on NorthWood Tuesday night in the waters of Dr. Susan Bardwell Aquatic Center and Leanne Senter Pool. Even though there were some technical difficulties with the scoreboard not working that did not stop the great swimming and diving that took place. The Lady Pilgrims were able to defeat NorthWood by the score of 115 to 69. The boys swam hard and improved again in times and had the best score of the season but couldn't get past the depth of Northwood losing 79 to 99. Ray Ye and Marisa Langfeldt were the swimmers of the meet due to both having best times in their individual events. Coach Stegelmann was very proud of how many swimmers had best times. It takes courage to try something new and so many of our athletes were willing to take that risk. Some highlights from the meet were the Girls swept the 100 Freestyle and both boys and girls 400 free relays got 1st and 2nd. Vivian Wheeler got 1st in the 200 Free with a time of 2:11.66 and 1st in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:15.53. Kieran Gritton got 1st place in the 50 free with a time of 27.51 while Freddy Kallenberg got 1st in the 200 free (2:11.66) and 2nd in the 500 free with a 6:17.51. Kyle Rumpler won the 500 free with a time of 6:02.03 and Joseph Stauffer won the 100 breaststroke (1:06.17) and got 2nd in the 200 IM with a time of 2:22.61. The Pilgrims will travel to Wawasee Saturday for the Wawasee Invite and then host Warsaw on Tuesday.
