The Lady Pilgrims welcomed the Tippy Valley Lady Vikings to The Rock Thursday night after having 10 days off from their last game. The Jv Pilgrims would get things started off on the night but would end up losing a heartbreaker to the Vikings 20 to 23. The defensive pressure would keep things close for the Pilgrims but just couldn't get over the hump to take a lead in the game. The Pilgrims spread the ball out well on offense and was led in scoring by Lilly Runyan with 7 points and 3 rebounds. Peyton Ellinger led in rebounding getting 8 and scoring 3 points. Megan Overmyer helped with 2 points but got 7 big rebounds in the game. The JV Pilgrims are now 4-4 overall and host Goshen for their first NLC contest of the season. JV tip is set for 6:15 PM. The Varsity Lady Pilgrims fought hard all night but like Chesterton just couldn't get the game to go their way when close. The final score would end up being 33 to 47. Being down by 10 at half the Lady Pilgrims used a tough defensive pressure and scoring 18 to get the lead down to 4 heading into the 4th quarter. The Pilgrims would then have trouble finding the bottom of the net. Tippy Valley did win the rebound battle for the night which helped the Vikings offense with multiple shot possessions. Plymouth was led by Lena Jones scoring 9 points and Sophie Miller adding in 10 points. The Pilgrims are now 4-4 on the season and will play Goshen after the Jv contest on Saturday, December 2nd.
