The Jv Pilgrims went into LaPorte and got an impressive win defeating the Slicers 51 to 38. The Pilgrims are now 3-0 on the season and continue to play great team defense. The Pilgrims used a 16 to 3 run in the 3rd quarter and a 25 to 12 2nd half run to pull away from the Slicers. 7 out of the 9 players for the Pilgrims scored. Hayden Feldman scored 12 points and 2 rebounds, Kylen Ellery scored 11 points, Kaden Milliser had 10 points and 7 rebounds, Ben Nguyen and 7 points and 3 assists, Parker Bagley had 5 points and 4 rebounds, Parker Wolfe 4 points and 5 rebounds, and Grady Metsker 2 points and 4 rebounds. The Pilgrims will host the JV Jimtown Jimmies on Tuesday, December 5th with the tip being at 6:15 Pm. The Varsity Pilgrims would get a tough test with LaPorte and would fight hard but too many mistakes would cost the Pilgrims in a 59 to 74 loss. Leading the way for the Pilgrims was Coby Walters scoring 16 points, Preston Wolfe getting 14 points, and Dan Nguyen getting 12 points. LaPorte came out hot shooting 54% from the field and 56% from behind the arc. The Slicers would get 15 points off the 13 Pilgrim turnovers on the night. The loss is the first for the Pilgrims this season and the Pilgrims will get a chance to bounce back when they play the Jimtown Jimmies on Tuesday, December 5th after the JV contest.
