The Lady Pilgrims welcomed another Marshall County foe in the Triton Trojans on Thursday night. The Jv Pilgrims got a great win by the final score of 38 to 29. Leading the scoring was Peyton Ellinger with 17 and 4 rebounds. Bailey Edmiston and Olivia Warner each chipped in 7 points. The defense was led by Lilly Runyan with 5 steals and 5 deflections. The JV Pilgrims put pressure on the Trojans with their full court pressure. The win moves the JV record to 3-2. The Varsity Lady Pilgrims got back on the winning track defeating the Trojans 53 to 39 using full court pressure to slow down the Trojan attack. The Lady Pilgrims had 16 steals in their full court defense getting transition lay ups that helped the team shoot 46% from inside the 3 point line. Leading the scoring was Lena Jones with 12 points, 5 assists, 5 steals and 4 rebounds. Rylee Mann had her best game so far on this season adding in 11 points and 5 rebounds. Alana Allen continued to get better in her sophomore season with having 8 points, 7 rebounds and 6 steals. The Lady Pilgrims move to 3-2 overall and head to Chesterton on Saturday to have their biggest test so far this season.
