The Boys Soccer team took to the road and came back victorious for both JV and Varsity against the LaPorte Slicers. For the JV game the Rockies came out with a 9-0 score with Brandon Caro scoring 4 goals, Erik Baca and Alberto Vargas netting 2 and Alex Slattery with 1 goal. Varsity following the JV with high scoring by beating the Slicers 5-0. After taking a halftime lead of 1-0 the Rockies went on attack mode scoring 4 goals and tiring out the Slicer defense. Scoring for the Rockies were, Ivan Turcios with 2 goals, Junior Aguilar, Tyler Stiger, and Diego Zelaya all with 1 goal. Abe Relollo and Adrain Baca each had an assist. The Rockies took 26 shots on goal and played a hard fought defense to keep the Slicer offense at bay. The Varsity and JV now move to 2-0 on the season and are at home for the NLC opener with rivial Warsaw at Knidt SoccerPlex Thursday, August 25th with JV starting at 5:30 with the varsity to follow.
