Cross Country - Pilgrims Open Up With Great Showing At Goshen Invitational

By Brent Corbett | Aug 21, 2022 7:20 PM

We started off the season heading to Goshen for a small invite with 7 schools, Goshen High School being the largest and Plymouth High School being the second largest. This meet is a precursor meet which isn't scored. It gives the kids a chance to race and get a time towards the beginning of the season. Our lead girls runner was Junior Sophie Wray who won the race in a time of 21:11. Our lead guys runner was Senior Trey Hall who was 5th with a time of 18:05. There was a lot of effort from everyone on the team. Three PHS runners ran lifetime PR's, Rylee Laird (10), Joy Everett (10), and Max Marohn (11). Being the first meet, it speaks highly of these three to get PR's right off the bat. PHS XC heads to Bremen High School on Tuesday for our next meet.
