Girls Soccer - Lady Rockies Get Tough Loss To Concord

By Brent Corbett | Sep 19, 2023 10:22 AM

The JV Rockies went to Concord on Monday Night and after having the day off for an e-learning day the Rockies came out and started off slow. The team though battled throughout the game and players stepped up in roles that they have not been asked to play. Addie Hundt filled a role of goalie when starting keeper Presley Woods had to leave the game early due to injury. The Rockies would end up on the short end of the game losing 0-2. With just 2 weeks left till the Rockies host the NLC JV tournament the Lady Rockies look to keep improving game by game. They will travel to Wawasee on Thursday starting at 5:30 pm. The Varsity Rockies took the field and continued the battle that the JV started. Lauren Kopetski continues to get better game by game having another stellar performance with 16 saves. Scoring for the Rockies was Alivia Kizer in the 72nd minute off the assist from Carley Diaz. The girls are starting to see the proof of what it takes to play for 80 minutes. The Lady Rockies will be back in action against Wawasee Thursday after the JV Rockies.
