The JV Rockies get things started Saturday night at Baker Park when they took on the host Mishawaka Lady Cavemen. The JV Rockies came out aggressive and used great teamwork passing the ball to get the shutout and winning the game 3-0. The Varsity would use that JV momentum and carry it over to the varsity contest playing the best they have all season even with having some injuries throughout the team. Lauren Kopetski keeps improving game after game with having 12 saves on Saturday night. The Lady Rockies got the winning goal from Mo Hundt in the 71st minute on a penalty kick and would hold the Cavemen offense attack at bay. This moves the Lady Rockies record to 2-9 on the season and 1-3 in the NLC. The Lady Rockies are having girls step up and finding new roles and filling gaps that are needing filled. They travel to Concord on Monday with the JV kickoff set for 5:30.
