The Lady Pilgrims volleyball team headed to Dunlap, Indiana to take on place in the Concord Invitational. Already in a loaded field the Lady Pilgrims had to take on NorthWood in the 1st round after already playing them on Thursday in NLC action. The Lady Pilgrims would fight hard but fall 9-25 & 22-25. The second round saw a tough McDonald's Powerball foe in New Prairie with the Pilgrims losing 15-25, 15-25. The Lady Pilgrims would respond and win the 3rd round against Lakewood 25-22 and 25-20. Coach Fagan had to say about the tournament, "a big day of competing against tough teams. We struggled to find an offensive rhythm and put scoring runs together. Finished strong with a competitive win against Lakewood Park." Leading the Lady Pilgrims were Haylee Busse going 15/16 on serves 32/43 on hitting and 8/9 in setting. Also leading the Pilgrims was Marley Christy going 20/20 on serves, 134/134 on setting and 26 assists. Eva Sheedy was 23/30 on kills and Sophie Miller being 32/38 on kills. The Lady Pilgrims are on the road Thursday, September 14th when they travel East to take on the Warsaw Lady Tigers.
