The Varsity Pilgrims went to West Lafayette to play in the Lafayette Jeff Booster Club Invite and finished 5th out of a tough 8 team invite. Overall the Pilgrims had a good day of tennis and played some quality matches, even despite some losses. After a 1-4 start of the day in the first round the Pilgrims finished their play 5-0 in the final matches. For Singles Martin Baca finished 7th overall defeating Laf. Harrison. In 2 singles James Kruyer finished 5th defeating McCutcheon. Maclean Miller finished 5th place for the 3 singles spot defeating Logansport. #1 Doubles team of Caleb Bowling-Trey Delp defeated Covington to take 7th place. The #2 doubles team of Ryan Gadziola-Trenton Van Duyne took 3rd place defeating Logansport. The Pilgrims will be back in action Tuesday, September 12th when they take on the Mishawaka Cavemen. First set of matches will start at 5 PM at the Mary Beth Hunter Tennis Complex.
