The JV Rockies continued the momentum from the varsity and came out and got a score early but missed the extra point. The tough Warrior offense though would find some traction and get 2 scores in the 2nd quarter to take a 13-6 halftime lead. The Rockies would make some halftime adjustments and came out in the 3rd quarter strong getting 2 scores from Grady Metsker and Aiden VanDusen. The Rockie defense would keep the Warriors out of the endzone till late in the game. The Rockies would get one more score in the 4th to put the game away. The final would be Rockies 27 Warriors 21. From Coach Nixon and Coach Skirvin they had said about the game, "the first half was a struggle for us offensively, we couldn't get much gong on the ground or air. We came out in the second half and executed much better which led to a few scores.. Defensive front 7 was solid all day and defended the run very well." Leading the way for the Rockies was Metsker scoring on a 24, 13, and 1 yard run and throwing for a 40 yard TD pass. Aiden VanDusen lead with a 40 yard TD reception. Jaden Yates, Ethan Hall, & Jake Russell led the defense. The Rockies will be back in action Saturday when they travel to Steel Stadium in Mishawaka with kickoff set for 10 am.
