The Rockies got a very big NLC win Friday when they traveled to Wawasee and came out 25-19 winners. This was the first road win for the Rockies since 2020 when they beat Wawasee. From the start of the game both teams went back and forth with the Warriors taking a 13-10 halftime lead. Both defenses were on display for the 3rd quarter with both teams not being able to find the end-zone. It wasn't till the last 5 minutes of the game that it would get very exciting in that both teams would get scores in to make the ending one to remember. A screen pass from Exzander Ramirez to Finn Holm was the final touchdown for the night and then the Rockie defense stepping up and getting the final stop to get the Rockies their first win on the road and NLC win since 2020. Leading the Rockies on offense was Ramirez with 145 rushing yards & 180 passing yards scoring twice. Finn Holm had 110 yards receiving with 1 rushing touchdown and 5.5 tackles for the defense. Leading the defense was Brady Coffin with 8 tackles and a fumble recovery. Jose Fernando also had 4 tackles and a pass breakup. The Rockies will host Mishawaka on Friday, September 15t for Band Senior Night and Homecoming. We will honor the band senior members before the game and homecoming at halftime. Kickoff is set for 7 pm.
