Last night the Rockies took action against their Marshall County rivals in the Bremen Lions and fans were treated to a very intense and well action packed game. With the atmosphere set for what seemed like a post-season game the Rockies came out with a close 2-1 win. Early in the game Bremen took charge with having possession for most of the 1st half till the Rockie offense found the back of the net with Alan Pena in the 17th minute. In the 58th minute of the second half the Rockies found the back of the net again this time coming from Ivan Turcios. Key saves by goalkeeper Aiden Ruiz helped keep the Lion offense quiet till the 78th minute when the Lions found Grant Devine with a header from a cross off the foot of Jorge Padilla. Following the varsity contest the Jv teams took the field for a half with the Rockies outscoring the Lions 2-0. Scoring for the Jv Rockies were Uriel Rebello and Giovani Lozano. The Rockies are back in action Monday, August 22nd when they take to the road to Laporte with kickoff set at 5:30pm.
